ONLINE MAGAZINE WINDING ROAD CONTINUES TO GROW AS MORE MEDIA COMPANIES ENDORSE NEED FOR NEW TECHNOLOGY

New Digizine increases reader base with latest issue 9.0, and adds significant commitments from advertisers

ANN ARBOR, MICH. (July 12, 2006)– Winding Road™ – the first authentic, Internet-based, digital-only magazine for car enthusiasts – which now totals more than 185,000 online subscribers – continues to expand its reach with its latest issue, 11.0, the third edition released under the guidance of legendary Editor-in-Chief David E. Davis, Jr.

The digital magazine is perfectly timed and positioned to take full advantage of the burgeoning interest and demand for new technology among both consumers and mass marketers. A recent media conference in California addressed the need for appropriately targeted online publications and other services. According to Peter Chernin, president and chief operating officer of News Corp., speaking at the conference: "The challenge is pretty clear. It's the digital transition. We would like to say we look at it as an opportunity. Every single part of our business is going through extraordinary technological change."

Indeed, Winding Road™ fully intends to capitalize on the growing need to quickly access information via the Internet and download it immediately. The goal of Winding Road is a straightforward one – to produce and deliver the highest quality automotive publication available and to provide users with the ability to review all articles in its new archive section of back issues on the Winding Road website (www.windingroad.com).

“Our goal is to offer our readers a free, three-year subscription that includes an easy-to-read electronic and/or downloadable print format, limitless access to the companion website and timely e-mail notification when a new issue is available,” said Bob Weber, publisher of Winding Road. “Further delivery enhancements are in development, and soon to be implemented. Winding Road’s website has a browser-friendly full-screen view (1024 x768 pixels), and together with interactive multimedia functionality that engages readers with video and animation, we’ve created the ultimate reader experience.”

The multiple formats and additional interactivity offered by Winding Road, plus the digital magazine’s explosive growth are proving extremely attractive to advertisers hungry to explore new avenues and more accurately reach potential customers via the Internet.

“We are getting both commitments and interest from all the major automotive manufacturers as well as from many companies in the aftermarket,” Weber added. “This is a very exciting time to be in the digital world, and Winding Road is directly at the crossroads.”
